Why this matters

One misaligned schedule is expensive.

An extra semester of tuition, a missed MCAT/DAT timeline, or a term so overloaded it drags down the GPA that matters most for your application. Wolverine Planning exists to prevent that.

The cost of an unplanned schedule

For the 2025-26 school year, in-state cost of attendance runs roughly $20,000 a semester, and out-of-state is closer to $40,000. A single missed prerequisite can be the difference between graduating on time and an unplanned extra semester no family budgeted for.

MCAT / DAT prep needs runway

These exams assume classes like biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and biochemistry are already done before serious studying begins. That sequencing has to be planned years ahead, because finding a gap junior year can push back your entire application cycle.

Balanced semesters protect your GPA

Stacking organic chemistry, physics, and a lab-heavy major requirement into one term is the most common self-inflicted risk pre-health students take. A good roadmap spreads rigor evenly across all eight semesters.

Room for what you actually want

Planning isn't only defensive. It also creates room. Knowing exactly which requirements you need, and when, frees up space for a minor, study abroad, or research that a reactive term-by-term approach can't accommodate.

A comprehensive roadmap costs a small fraction of a single unplanned semester. If it prevents even one scheduling mistake, it pays for itself many times over.

As a pre-dental student at Michigan, I didn't start with a finished plan. I built mine as I went, reworking it every time I learned something new about my incoming credit, how requirements had to be sequenced, and which professors to take. Wolverine Planning gives you that plan up front, before your first semester begins.

01Completed every pre-dental and major requirement on schedule using this exact planning process.
02Completed all DAT prerequisites by the end of sophomore year, which gave me the following summer to prepare for the exam full time, a year before applying.
03Used the room careful planning created to add the Ross Business Minor, study abroad, and graduate a semester early.
04Have since built the same roadmaps for friends on pre-med and pre-dental tracks, on equally efficient paths.

This isn't generic advice from a national firm that has never sat in a Michigan classroom. It's a system built and proven by a student navigating the same registrar, the same requirements, and the same professors you'll encounter.

How it works

Four steps, then four planned years.

Step one

An initial conversation about your intended major, track, incoming credit, and goals.

Step two

I build your custom roadmap using the same planning system I used for myself and my clients.

Step three

We review the plan together, make adjustments, and work through your questions.

Step four

You leave with a semester-by-semester plan to bring to your official advisor to confirm.
